Suge Knight’s Murder Trial Set for September

On Monday, a judge set September 24th as the date of Suge Knight‘s long-delayed murder trial.

The Death Row Records co-founder is accused of intentionally driving his pickup track into two men in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers in Compton, killing Terry Carter and Cle Sloan surviving. Knight fled the scene, but eventually turned himself in and pled not guilty, saying he acted in self-defense. The incident occurred following an argument on the set of Straight Outta Compton in January 2015.

The trial for the three-year old case was originally set for January and later April, with proceedings being delayed due to change of attorneys.
