The name may seem unfamiliar at first, but let us introduce you to Super Helpful. The group is made up of a few members from the Pro Era collective. Lee Bannon, Chuck Strangers and Kwame came together over Thanksgiving to record a full-length project under their fresh alias. “Sumo” is used as a preview of what you should expect from the trio, including a showcase of Chuck Strangers rapping as well as producing. However, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard him on the mic, after having a verse on Joey Bada$$’ “Fromdatomb$” earlier this year. Speaking of Joey, you can hear him for an extremely short period of time on this very track. This new offering thrives on the production side of it, with the various instruments coming together in perfect timing as the beat changes.
Expect to hear the entire project on January 1st – the perfect start to 2013.
