The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards To Emanate Live From Brooklyn On August 25th

After holding their biggest award show of the week in Los Angeles for the past three years at L.A. Live, The MTV Video Music Awards will be Brooklyn bound for the first time ever airing live from the Barclays Center later this summer. Barclays announce via twitter earlier today that the MTV VMA’s were coming to its arena this summer and released an official press.

“From a vibrant musical scene for up and coming artists to epic concerts by today’s biggest stars and the triumphant return of pro sports to the borough after nearly 60 years, Brooklyn has re-emerged as a cultural capitol where music, sports and entertainment history is made every day,” said Stephen Friedman, President of MTV. “We can’t wait to help write the next chapter on August 25th, when one of the biggest nights in music happens in Brooklyn… for the very first time.”

This will mark the 30th anniversary of VMA’s as the Moonman will officially be landing in Brooklyn at Barclays Center when the event goes down on August 25th. It would only be right if H.O.V.A. blesses the stage, hopefully a first single from Blueprint 4 maybe?
