We were listening to the smooth sounds of Nesby Phips & Ski Beatz when we came across this post on OKP saying they started a new jazz blog, which debuted this week. After watching the video, we went to go check out the website & saw they featured a couple musicians & even dropped a project titled The Suite. Not only is it hosted by 9th Wonder, but The Beast & Nnenna Feelon fuse the sounds of jazz/hip-hop, rework a couple classics & drop some original songs of their own. The project features acts such as Darien Brockington, Phonte, Carlitta Durand & more.
This “Skylark” joint has us zoned out right now, but if you’d like to hear a more hip-hop record, we added the Phonte track as bonus. You can hear the project in full, by heading over to The Revivalist right now. We gotta catch up on some jazz shit.
