Terius Nash pilots his Contra Paris Label with two new EPs

If you’ve been patiently waiting for those overtly sexual sounds from The-Dream to return, following the 2013 release of his last full-length album IV Play, the R&B King will be returning this spring for long-awaited new material. Last July, the mutli-instrumentalist teased fans with his Royalty EP, serving as an prequel on what to expect with his new solo imprint Contra Paris Label, but the American Dream has revealed plans for two new EPs.

This March 31st, his much-anticipated Crown EP will be arriving, which will also see the official reunion with his original producer Tricky Stewart. Soon after, his Jewel EP will arrive in the coming months to continue promotions for his official sixth studio album later this year. With the official music video to his new single That’s My Shit with KANG T.I. set to arrive in the coming days, The-Dream briefly detailed his plans for the coming months saying,

“Crown is more modern R&B, and Jewel will be more what you might think of as my songwriter side, the songs I might have given to other artists before,” The-Dream explains. “If you put me in a box, Jewel is more what you get when that box is open. But I’m not limited by any box I’ve been put in—every year I’m expanding and growing, and it makes for a more interesting plot.”
