Baz Luhrmann, the director behind the Academy Awards winning movie The Great Gatsby – and Grammy nominated soundtrack, has a new musical drama series titled The Get Down impacting Netflix today. Arriving as well is the accompanying original soundtrack for the series.
Over the past couple of weeks we’ve seen new and original songs from Michael Kiwanuka with Nas, Raury and Jaden Smith, Miguel, Christina Aguilera and Janelle Monae. Those were just some of the contributors to the soundtrack that includes more star-studded talent such as Leon Bridges, Nile Rodgers, Grace, Teddy Pendergrass, ZAYN, Lyn Collins and many more.
