As we take a steady leap into 2013, we hope the hangover pains have been well and truly left behind and rewarded with a great opening week of the year. More than ever before, artists have been hard at work in attempt to lure their fans for the remaining 12 months.
Whilst many project have been announced from the likes of Casey Veggies, Ab-Soul and Raekwon, there’s been a huge setback for Cole World with Born Sinner not seeing the light of day at the previously announced January date. Some of the most enticing stories included a possible Lil Wayne feature in a Pixar movie (yes, you read that right), a long-awaited comeback collaboration by Outkast and a famous rant from no other than Kanye West. On the audio side of things, Timbaland made a stand with his reminiscent 2006-production along with a bunch of guests, Most Dope linked up with Top Dawg Entertainment and Cam’ron dropped a surprise for the masses. Stand-out projects came from Jigg, Joe Cool, Young Scooter, Super Helpful, P. Blackk and many more.
