With all the craziness of this week’s releases, we took time to remember Pimp C on the 4th, which is the 5th year anniversary of his death. He’s fathered many since his passing, as we see his influence on the culture shine through the young blood of rap. Long live the pimp!
On the music side, artists released music in crunch time, as the 4th quarter is quickly coming to a close & GRAMMY nominations were unveiled. Pusha T, Young Jeezy, John Legend, Snoop Lion and Big Boi all dropped singles this week, and we got previews of albums from Bruno Mars and A-Trak. Drake was also in the news this week as he found a new home for the OVO label, and DMX sang a Christmas carol? Yeah, that happened.
