If there was one word to describe the past week in its entirety, it would have to be “consistency.” First of all, don’t be fazed by our long list of releases in music, because the content really does speak for itself. With the typically eventful Grammy Awards event last weekend and an unexpected rise of music on Valentine’s Day, there was always going to be a lot of new material to coincide.
With that being said, recent projects came from Flume, Johnny Rain, Gucci Mane, Problem and Iamsu!, Vado, araabMUZIK and the return of J. Cole with a brand new EP. Due to Valentine’s Day cropping up on Thursday, there was a number a tracks released for the themed occasion. Regardless, we heard singles from Mac Miller, Lloyd Banks, Justin Timberlake, Asher Roth, Ghostface Killah, 50 Cent and plenty more throughout the week.
