The first week of September happened to see much more material that was previously expected, with Labor Day taking place on Monday and extending the weekend for much of the country. The biggest stories includ the announcement of the Xbox One’s release date, further artwork and tracklisting for Danny Brown and Drake’s albums, Jack Nicholson retiring from acting and tours dates arriving from Jay Z, along with with Kanye West’s first solo tour in five years alongside Kendrick Lamar in support.
In terms of recent singles, we were fortunately provided with new music from Freddie Gibbs, Meek Mill, Rockie Fresh, The Internet, Ryan Hemsworth, M.I.A., Coldplay and many others, with the likes of Brother Ali, Curren$y, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Janelle Monae, Arctic Monkeys and World’s Fair making their projects available to the public.
