Thundercat levelled up once again this year with the release of his superb album, Drunk. The Los Angeles musician is back this week with a video for “Show You the Way,” his collaboration with Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins. The clip follows an armless ex-samurai, who is forced to life in an armchair where he reminisces about the good times.
“We got the track from Thundercat and quickly realized that we had a unique opportunity to continue the story that we had started with ‘Them Changes,’ say directors Katarzyna Sawicka and Carlos Lopez Estrada. “We ended that video on a fairly grim note but ‘Show You The Way’ offered a bright and contrasting soundtrack for a sequel of redemption.”
