Tory Lanez visits the Breakfast Club!
With his debut album I Told You having success for his first major release, Tory Lanez made a return to The Breakfast Club earlier today. After sending Angela Yee a love letter before the appearance, the singer-songwriter-rapper-producer saw some constructive criticism from Charlamagne Tha God calling him Drake-lite; as well as sounding like Fetty Wap, Trey Songz and others.
Following hit-singles “Say It” and “Luv,” Tory touched on having tracks like “TLC” from his Chixtape 2 project that never blew up in mainstream, thus becoming underground classics. After signing to both Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston during the early stages of his career, he recalled getting booed off Warehouse Live in Houston where he had a conversation with Bun B soon after.
Watch more from the interview, where discusses the reason for doing a “Controlla Remix,” still feeling broke and not having problems with fellow artists within his city of New Toronto.
