One of our favorite new funk and soul duos, Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One, just can’t stop making music together. As Tuxedo, the pair released their second album Tuxedo II on Stones Throw earlier this year, and now, their episode of NPR Music’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ is here.
They brought along a boombox and a small band, who helped perform “Do It” from the first album, then jumped into a couple of newer tracks like “Second Time Around” and “July.” As always with Hawthorne, he was cool as hell with it.
