Last night, during the BET Hip-Hop Awards, Vic Mensa‘s freestyle cypher going at XXXTentacion was revealed and people were commenting on him speaking on a dead man’s name, especially in front of his mom (in the audience). Though Vic addressed the allegations on his own social media account, the backlash has continued to follow him.
Today, he takes it back to the music with “Empathy,” responding to the XXX diss and his own demons he’s faced throughout his career. From his own past dysfunctional relationship and how he mishandled it, to bringing bad energy, he digs to deep to share some of his inner thoughts and mistakes.
