A busy year for Vic Mensa has consisted of working with Kanye West on The Life of Pablo, releasing his There’s Alot Going On EP and touring with his brother Joey Purp. Next up for the Chicago rapper is a placement on The Birth of a Nation: The Inspired By Album, on which he contributes the political opening track “Go Tell ‘Em.’ The period drama film The Birth of a Nation stars Nate Parker, and opens in theaters October 7th.
