Watch Chance The Rapper Perform At A Library at 17 Years Old

One of the biggest stories in hip-hop this year has clearly been the return of Chance The Rapper. The Chicago native managed to become one of the first artists to chart on Billboard solely off streaming and has solidified his reign at the top with Coloring Book.

Although the upward trajectory has been like that since Acid Rap, Chano has been trying to uplift and send a positive message since the beginning.

As seen in the footage above, Chance raps about some experiences he had growing up as a child, performing in front of the youth at the Chicago Public Library when he was 17-years old. While you can tell he hadn’t quite honed in on his skills, you can still see and hear the raw talent from a very early age. You can check out his humble start on the mic in the video.
