When the news for 4:44 originally surfaced, we didn’t know what the fuck it was, truthfully. Then it came out that it was a movie, and later confirmed it was indeed a JAY-Z album. Either way, this album release has been wrapped up and drenched in mystery. For now, we don’t know what the status of the Mahershala Ali for a movie is and how it relates to Hov, and this trailer hardly clears it up.

A kid is running through an alley in slow motion with a scared look on his face with a shirt that says “Stay Black.” So from what it seems, Jay’s new album will have a lot of social commentary on it. No I.D. is set to produce the whole thing, but no word on features yet.
Aside from that, the only facts we know is it’ll be a TIDAL exclusive.
