XXXTentacion Killed in Florida Drive-By Shooting

UPDATE: XXX has been pronounced dead by the Broward Co. Sheriff’s Department.

According to reports out of Deerfield Beach, FL, rapper XXXTentacion has been shot while in his BMW i8 in Broward County and is in critical condition. The rapper was out shopping for motorcycles at RIVA Motorsports when a gunman pulled up to rob him, left him for dead and severely wounded in the drive-by. Though the suspects have not been identified as of yet, police believe two people may have done this at random. It is possible XXX withdrew a large amount of cash from the bank shortly before shopping for a motorcycle. A Louis Vouitton bag was seen left behind at the scene after the shots were fired.

Videos from the incident show him lifeless with multiple people checking his pulse.

After being found unconscious, XXX was rushed to the nearest hospital, but his status is uncertain as of now. Multiple witnesses claim to have heard shots fired.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is offering up to $3,000 as reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest.

It has been a tumultuous year for XXX, as he’s been experiencing the highs and lows of his career. He is currently awaiting trial, facing multiple counts of domestic violence charges and witness tampering, after being accused of hitting his pregnant girlfriend. His album ? also went No. 1 in the Billboard charts, but he faced backlash when Spotify threatened to take his music off their playlists. It was later instituted back, when other artists like Kendrick Lamar stood up for him following the news.

In deference to his family, friends, and loved ones and in light of further investigation, we ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”
