Young Dolph – The Land

Artist: Young Dolph
Song: “The Land”
Producer: Hunnit Band Yung, Sosa 808
Album: Rich Slave
Director: Paper Route Pictures

This past year has been turbulent, with social injustice and racism at the front of the news. Young Dolph is not one you’d think to make political commentary through his music, but his Rich Slave album proved different. With a new video for “The Land,” the Memphis rapper addresses police brutality head-on, showing images of officers pulling him over and taking him to the ground. He also destroys a police car with graffiti showing the names and phrases like Breonna Taylor, ‘No Justice, No Peace’ and ‘BLM’.

Shoutout to him for using his music to bring awareness to social issues.
