It’s about that time again. France Football has announced the 30-man shortlist for the 2016 Ballon d’Or — the award given to the best footballer of the year. The list includes last year’s winner Lionel Messi and runner-up Cristiano Ronaldo, along with the likes of Neymar, Luis Suarez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Manuel Neuer, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo. Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy make the cut following their phenomenal Premier League win last term.

Despite the great players on the list, Ronaldo is undoubtedly the favorite, after winning Euro 2016 with Portugal and the Champions League with Real Madrid.
