The 2017 NBA All-Defensive First and Second Team

The end-of-the-year honors in the NBA are about to go down tonight with the NBA Awards, but before the individual awards are unveiled, the league is releasing the best defensive players and rookies of the year through the All-Defensive and All-Rookie teams.

As you can see, Draymond Green received the most votes for his defensive prowess on the Golden State Warriors thanks to a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters, with Rudy Gobert and Kawhi Leonard coming as runners up to him. They all got a spot on the first team for their respective positions, though. So did Chris Paul and Patrick Beverly.

First Team:
Draymond Green, Golden State (Forward)
Rudy Gobert, Utah (Center)
Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio (Forward)
Chris Paul, Los Angeles (Guard)
Patrick Beverly, Houston (Guard)

Second Team:
Tony Allen, Memphis (Guard)
Danny Green, San Antonio (Guard)
Anthony Davis, New Orleans (Center)
Andre Roberson, Oklahoma City (Forward)
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee (Forward)

Obviously, John Wall felt snubbed and does not agree with the picks. The boy couldn’t even get a nod on the second team. It’s clear he’s underrated out here in these streets.
