Andre Iguodala Is Staying With the Warriors Thanks to 3-Year, $48M Deal

The whole time Andre Iguodala met with teams like the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, it was only for one reason: To drive the price the Golden State Warriors were going to pay to keep the Sixth Man of the Year finalist and NBA Finals MVP in the Bay Area.

The two sides agreed on a 3-year, $48 million dollar contract on Saturday night.

Andre is a significant part of the Warriors’ championship team, providing an offensive spark off the bench, energy and a defensive presence on the other side of the ball.

The deal makes Iggy the fourth player that Golden State has signed in this free agency period, with Steph Curry, Shaun Livingston and David West already locked into new contracts. Kevin Durant has yet to sign, but said he would take less money to keep the squad together.

How many championships will this core win?
