The Ban Against Charles Oakley at Madison Square Garden Has Been Lifted

The drama surrounding New York Knicks owner James Dolan and Charles Oakley is finally settling down and almost coming to a resolution. After being banned from Madison Square Garden last week, Oakley seems to be welcome in the arena after a meeting between Dolan, Michael Jordan and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to help alleviate the situation.

Oakley is still looking for an apology because he’s still hurt, though.

“It’s not about being at the Garden. It’s about the fans. I want them to apologize to the fans. I told the commissioner I want them to apologize to the fans.

“I have never asked for nothing,” Oakley added. “I love the fans in New York. They’ve been supportive. One of the things I told the commissioner, I want to have a press conference and I want him to apologize to me and the fans. They’ve had my back and they’ve felt the pain. I really appreciate the people all around who’ve had my back.”

Reports say both Dolan and Oakley apologized for their faults in the incident, but Charles wants a public apology for what happened. He is still hurt by the comments Dolan made to the media about him having a drinking problem.
