Cam Newton Speaks on Diddy Buying the Carolina Panthers

When news broke out that the Carolina Panthers franchise would be going up for sale, NFL owners like Jerry Jones spoke on the situation, with others like Diddy taking advantage to start a campaign into purchasing the team.

When Puff Daddy took to social media to speak on the situation, he said he’d let Colin Kaepernick have a chance at the starting quarterback position if he became owner.

Obviously, the team already has a Pro Bowler and certified leader in Cam Newton, one who could certainly take the squad deep into the NFL playoffs. The Panthers managed to go 10-4 after trading Kelvin Benjamin, having Greg Olsen injured for part of the year. He’s made it work, though.

So, what does Killa Cam think of the news of Sean Combs being owner?

“I’m just going to stay in my lane and worry about throwing touchdowns on Sunday, and let the rest handle itself.”

He’s not really tripping off anything because he doesn’t know if it’s actually going down and how something of that magnitude would actually happen. As far as the competition with Kap if things actually played out the way Diddy wants? He’ll take that in stride too.

For now, his focus is on the post season and helping his team win.
