Carmelo Anthony Gets Ejected, Knicks Lose to Hawks in Overtime

Things get physical in the NBA with certain players, but usually not when your name is Carmelo Anthony. It seems like Thabo Sefolosha got under his skin because he went from boxing out to throwing backwards punches in the face tonight in the New York Knicks game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The play happened when the two were under the basket boxing each other out, when they got tangled up, tempers flared and Melo struck with the punch.

The incident was reviewed by the refs and it was determined he deserved a flagrant 2. He got ejected.

But the Knicks needed him down the stretch when things were going down to the wire. The game actually went to overtime and Kristaps Porzingis was trying to carry the squad on his back down the stretch, but a few missed free throws pretty much prevented this game from being won.

Derrick Rose finished the game with 26 points, while Porzingis added 24 points and hauled down 8 rebounds.

Every Hawks starter was in double digits scoring, with Dennis Schroder leading all scorers with 27 points on the night. Dwight Howard also had 16 points and a monster 22 rebounds.
