There have been a lot of big boxers to come out of Brownsville, Brooklyn (see: Mike Tyson, Zab Judah, Riddick Bowe, Shannon Briggs), but Carmelo Anthony wants to see who’s got next. In this episode with VICE Sports, Melo goes down to boxing gym to meet up with WBA Middleweight Champion Danny Jacobs to get a tour of the neighborhood he grew up in. Jacobs talks about how growing up in the area shaped him and how there is plenty of talent in the small area of Brooklyn.
The two finally connect with Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington, who wants to put on next for Brownsville.
