Cavs Tie Series at 2-2 Against Celtics Thanks to Lebron James’ 44 Point Performance

When this Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers series shifted to The Land as LeBron James and company were down in an 0-2 hole, everyone was sealing it and declaring the C’s winners. Except, The King had other plans at home.

He dished out 12 assists last go around and in tonight’s game, he went back to beastmode on the offensive side of things, dropping 44 points on that Boston defense.

Of course, the Celtics have not been been magnificent on the road. After tonight, they’re 1-6 against opponents on the road this postseason.

It wasn’t a lights-out performance from King James’ supporting cast, but both George Hill and Tristan Thompson had 13 points on the game. Kyle Korver also provided a big spark off the bench with 14 points of his own.

Although all of the Boston starters were in double figures, it was not quite enough for them as they lost by 9 points. The team just couldn’t bring it that much closer in the fourth quarter when it counted the most. They had missed dunks throughout the whole game, missed shots in clutch situations and overall, they weren’t firing on all cylinders.

The series now shifts to Boston, where the C’s are unbeaten this entire playoffs.

They’re going to need to play better defense and bring up the intensity if they plan on defending home court and have a chance at the series. If they can continue that unbeaten streak at home, they can still make it to the NBA Finals.

FINAL: CLE 111 | BOS 102
