Chris Algieri Talks Upcoming Showdown Against Manny Pacquiao

Is the “Pacquiao Era” coming to an end?

Following an upset against victory over Ruslan Provodnikov to capture the WBO Light Welterweight title over the summer, Christopher Algieri is setting himself up to become boxing’s next big star. This November, he’ll be stepping into the ring for his biggest fight ever, against the Filipino Slugger, Manny Pacquiao.

The upcoming catch-weight fight at 144 was originally requested at a 147; but Freddie Roach opted not to put Manny in a predicament due to his under sizing and lower reach against Algieri. With Pacman receiving an overwhelming odds favorite response from betters around the world, Christopher is confident for his fight to extend his 20-0 (8 knockouts) streak and hopefully become a challenger for Floyd Mayweather.
