Cleveland Cavaliers Will Not Be Shopping Kevin Love in Trades

It’s gotta be tough to be Kevin Love. He’s always being blamed for the Cleveland Cavaliers struggles. His name is always thrown around in trade rumors. It seems like he can rest easy for the time being because his name will not be involved in any trades for the Cavs in the foreseeable future.

According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Love will not be shopped by the team and will remain in Cleveland regardless of what LeBron James does this summer.

Last season, K-Love averaged 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. He also drained 41.5 percent of his 3-pointers. Not too bad of a stint. He has two years left on his 2015-2016 max deal and is owed $49.7 million.

The Cavs hold the No. 8 pick in the NBA Draft, so it’ll be interesting if they keep it and pick someone with a high upside like Michael Porter Jr. (if he’s still there) or if they package it with another player or two to trade for someone else to help the team moving forward.
