The organization has just inked DeAndre Hopkins to a massive $81 million contract extension, $49 of which are guaranteed over the next three years. That’s the largest guaranteed figure for any wide receiver in the NFL right now.
There’s no denying his talent, even if last season’s production dipped compared to that of 2015.
With Brock Osweiler under center, he only recorded 78 catches for 954 yards and four touchdowns, as opposed to his 111 catches for 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns the year before.
It’s clear the team has some solidified talent, but they just need to take the next step to get over the hump and compete in the AFC playoff race.
