DeMarcus Cousins Was Ready to Quit After Playoffs Injury

It’s been a long and tough road for DeMarcus Cousins ever since he tore his Achilles when he was playing for the New Orleans Pelicans. From being counted out, since he was a big man with a huge injury, to signing with the Golden State Warriors and going through the rigors of rehab, it felt like the pain was all worth it when he stepped on to the court to suit up for his first official playoff game of this career this season.

Then he suffered a quad injury against the Los Angeles Clippers in that first game that had him sidelined for 45 days. It was another unfortunate setback.

In a talk with Rachel Nichols of The Jump, Boogie said he was ready to quit at that point because he was in a dark place. He questioned why it happened to him and what he could have done different because he didn’t do anything wrong.

He also spoke on battling back and how he wanted to prove it to himself that he could come back and dominate, his dominating Game 2 performance, nickname and more.
