Draymond Green Mocks the Rest of the NBA Trying to Compete with Golden State

Captain Green calls out the comp

With another pointless NBA season on deck, Draymond Green is looking ahead to the summer of 2018, when the Bay Area gets to continue their dynasty of celebrating another championship. Last summer, we witnessed LeBron James go in GM mode and re-structure the entire Cavaliers roster.

After moving Kevin Love out of his natural position to the five and inserting another wing-player into the starting five, he’s looking to avenge his 4-1 series loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Along with James Harden getting leadership help from Chris Paul in Houston and Russell Westbrook getting the season services from both Carmelo Anthony and Paul George; we just haven’t seen any team that can legitimately compete with the 2015 and 2017 champs.

In a conversation with GQ Magazine, Draymond Green spoke about the elephant in the room, with multiple teams and players trying to roster stack last summer and compete with his team.

In the conversation, he went to bluntly say, “It’s so funny sitting back and watching this shit, ‘They are not unbeatable. There have been bigger upsets in sports history.’ We are going to keep improving our roster. We are used to long odds. If Golden State makes the odds longer, we might up our risk profile and get even more aggressive. We have something up our sleeve. They are really trying to rethink their whole strategy, because teams know they don’t have a fucking clue.”

He even went to address the Cavs stealing a game in the NBA Finals showcasing a record long-distance shooting spree saying, “That’d never been done! They don’t come out and hit twenty-four threes and they’re swept. And that’s the second best team in the world. It’s pretty fucking sick to see how everybody is just in a fucking panic about what to do. You sit back and think, like, these motherfuckers, they know. That’s the fun part about it: They know they don’t stand a chance.”

This is very hilariously, considering some of us are using this season to watch rookies and scout younger teams. With LeBron James also doing the same, before his inevitable exit to the Los Angeles Lakers next year; he’ll have one last shot at bringing the city of Cleveland another title.

Let us know in the comments what you think of Draymond coming out with these words publicly and if there’s anything team that will stop Golden State from winning the finals.
