Draymond Green Responds to Questions About Verbal Quarrel with Kevin Durant

The NBA has been going wild with stories about the Golden State Warriors breaking up after that argument between Kevin Durant and Draymond Green earlier this week.

People have been speculating how it would affect the team moving forward, whether Durant is leaving during free agency after he was seen saying “That’s why I’m out!” after their verbal exchange and whether or not the organization has KD’s back more than Draymond (since he was the one that got suspended).

Today, before the Warriors’ game against the Houston Rockets, Draymond decided to address the drama head on and give his two cents on the situation.

Ultimately, he told reporters that he and Kevin have spoken and the team will be fine the rest of the season and there’s no reason for anyone to overreact and say the team will implode because of an argument. He said that at the end of the day, he’s always been that way and he will continue to be that way and he’s not going to change. And for anyone who thinks that this is the end of the run, he can’t change how anyone feels and what’s best for their lives. Also, only Golden State can beat Golden State, so nothing has changed and they’ll still be trying to kill teams on the court.

It’ll be interesting to see the dynamic on the court and if anything actually changes, but the first test will be tonight against James Harden, Chris Paul and company.

If they lose and they both have bad nights, goodnight.
