Dwight Howard Has Been Traded From Hawks to the Hornets

Remember that homecoming in Atlanta for Dwight Howard? It lasted one year. His tenure with the Hawks has been shortlived and now he’s switching to his fourth team in five years.

Sources tell The Vertical that Howard will be moving north to Charlotte, NC to join the Hornets after the Hawks have found a trade partner for the former All-Star center. As part of the deal, the Hornets will receive Dwight and the 31st pick in the upcoming draft in exchange for Miles Plumlee, Marco Belenelli and the 41st pick.

Just this offseason, Howard talked to the media about changing his game and becoming more of a stretch center, as he wanted to work on his 3-pointer and not be such an “old-school” front court presence in the league. This decision came about thanks to the way the game is changing and the fact he wants to adjust to the new way teams are moving.

Will the experiment work in Charlotte? It seems like at this point, not even his hometown wants him.

Funny and coincidentally, D12 was asking about trades on Twitter not knowing that his own team was finalizing a trade to ship him the fuck out of town at the same time.
