Geno Smith Suffered Torn ACL in Yesterday’s Game

Geno Smith has been in the fringes at quarterback for the New York Jets for the past two years and with Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing interceptions like touchdowns the past few weeks, he finally got his opportunity to show how much he’s improved and try to win his job back.

Unfortunately, that only lasted two quarters because Geno suffered an injury in the first half of yesterday’s game against Baltimore Ravens. Turns out, it’s worse than he expected, and it is a torn ACL. That officially ends his season with the Jets and possibly his career.

Fitzpatrick has been awful this season, but he led New York to victory yesterday afternoon and everyone is wondering which Ryan will show up on a week-to-week basis. Will it be the man who had a stellar year last season or the one throwing six interceptions in the game?

Well, at least there is no longer a QB controversy out in Jets land. It looks like Fitzpatrick is the man for the time being.
