Two weeks ago, Jim Ross and ESPN confirmed that Bill Goldberg would be making his return to WWE for the first time since 2004 and would partake in a wrestling match. His opponent, coincidentally, would be the same person who he left the company with at the time, Brock Lesnar.
After witnessing the Beast make full time pay with limited scheduling and appearances over the last five years, Goldberg met with Vince McMahon to discuss the possibility of returning to the biggest stage in professional wrestling for one last time. Moments ago on Monday Night Raw, Bill made his WWE live TV return and accepted the open challenge from Brock, which was originally made by Paul Heyman last week.
