Highlights From Tim Tebow’s MLB Showcase in Los Angeles

If you’ve been watching ESPN at all the past few weeks, all they could talk about has been Tim Tebow‘s career change. After not making it as an NFL quarterback, the man of faith turned into an analyst. He must have not been satisfied with that role, because all of the sudden, he decided to pull a Michael Jordan and become a baseball player.

Tebow used to play in high school, but that was a decade ago.

People stepped up to the plate to cosign this career move and even go as far as say that Timmy would be good enough for an MLB team. The hype was so real that Major League Baseball scouts came out to Los Angeles to watch Tebow work out for two hours. He hit a home run, participated in outfield drills and ran the 60-yard dash in 6.65 seconds.

The conclusion? He showed power at the plate but was shaky with the baseball skills. There were a lot of mixed reviews, but Tebow’s hope is that someone picks him up.

Thus far, five time champion Aguilas del Zulia (a Venezuelan Winter League team) have sent Tebow’s agent a contract to sign with the squad. He has not inked on the dotted line yet.
