Look at what you did Danny Ainge. . .
Two nights ago, the Boston Celtics were on the road for a Sunday game against the Phoenix Suns. With just 12 seconds left to play, the Celtics were positioned to win the game against the Suns; but saw their victory slip away from them. Following a quick two and an in-bound steal, Phoenix rookie Tyler Ulis would drill a buzzer beater three, to seal the game for the Suns.
This was obviously one of the more disappointing defeats, in the history of Boston; as they looked to move past the loss last night in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, they were without big men Al Horford and Jonas Jerebko; which head coach Brad Stevens decided to play small against the Clippers (see: Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan). Much like Sunday, the Celtics were up a comfortable 13-point lead, heading into the fourth quarter; but managed to lose the game, not playing bigs
After the game, Thomas sent a direct public shot towards his head coach, creating a distraction for the franchise. Following the NBA trade deadline last month, general manager, Danny Ainge, opted to not go after Jimmy Butler or Paul George – and stand pat.
