Is Leonard really planning to leave?
Last week, reports emerged that Kawhi Leonard would need a little more time to heal up his right leg. Prior to that event, the superstar player had played in just nine games of the entire season, before being sent back to the disabled list. Well, according to Jalen Rose and Stephen A. Smith, the quiet assassin is privately asking for a trade from the organization.
Rose went to say that Kawhi is discouraged with San Antonio being unable to attract elite level talent, which he cites some players being lazy to play under Gregg Popovich. Considering the team has already moved Tony Parker to the bench, it looks like a possible total transformation could happen soon – including a possible exit of their head coach for retirement.
