RELATED: Examining the Karl-Anthony Towns, Jimmy Butler & T-Wolves Internal Beef
Last night, we gave you a little in-depth look at what’s happening in the Minnesota Timberwolves organization and it seems like everything is imploding for them. On Tuesday, Jimmy Butler met with Tom Thibodeau to talk about his future on the team and according to Shams, he has requested a trade out of town.
Jimmy Butler has requested a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski. Butler has given Minnesota a list of one-to-three teams with whom he's open to signing extension, in anticipation of trade.

The news comes only weeks before training camp and a long offseason where Jimmy has been contemplating whether or not he wants to stay.
He is scheduled to be a free agent at the end of the season.
Most of this beef has come as Butler doesn’t think the young core of Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins have the work ethic to win, which clashes with his own drive to win and the work he puts in to make it happen.
According to Shams, there are 1-3 teams that he is willing to go to and we can only assume two of them could possibly be the New York Knicks (which if he does get traded there, Kyrie Irving could be a lock for next year) and the Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James. According to Woj, it’s either the Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers or Brooklyn Nets.
Minnesota's Jimmy Butler has three preferred destinations for a trade, league sources tell ESPN: The Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks. Those three teams have max cap space to sign Butler as a free agent in July.

Minnesota's Jimmy Butler is most determined to find a way to the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources tell ESPN. The appeal of partnering with a second star – the Clippers have two max contract slots available in summer free agency – is an intriguing scenario for him.

Where would be his best landing spot, though?
