Jimmy Butler Reportedly Fed Up with Timberwolves & Won’t Sign Long-Term

Things are rocky in Minnesota because this is the second player on the Timberwolves that has been surrounded with rumors about the team. First, it was the whole Karl-Anthony Towns and Devin Booker social media speculation and now, Jimmy Butler is discontent with his younger teammates.

According to Chicago Sun-Times, Butler is fed up with the likes of KAT and his non-chalant attitude. He also has “no intentions” of resigning with the T-Wolves long term, as he has one more year left in his contract.

In 2019, he can decline his player option, hit the free agency market, and secure the bag with the team of his choosing.

This is bad news for Minnesota, who just erased their long playoff drought this past season and improving tremendously after landing Butler, Taj Gibson and several NBA veterans to help the young core grow. Sounds like that experiment did not work and it’s only a matter of time until the building collapses.

Interestingly, Butler is looking to pair up with Kyrie Irving in 2019, when both of their contracts run out and they have the option to play together. Plus, he wants to do it on an Eastern Conference squad.

Where could the two go, though?
