The Philadelphia 76ers continue with their bad luck across the organization and the injury bug has bit them again. Joel Embiid has been sidelined plenty this season, but the team is shutting him down indefinitely for the remainder of the year.

The Sixers center will undergo an MRI as he deals with swelling and soreness in his left knee.

Embiid missed the first two seasons of his career and now continues missing games for the team, with the last game he played was on January 27. The latest injury was a bone bruise that was declared day-to-day, except it was determined that he suffered a slight meniscus tear. He was scheduled to return as soon as March 3, but that isn’t going to happen now.

The worst part about it is their No. 1 pick Ben Simmons was also declared out for the year last week. It’s a little hard to ‘trust the process’ right now, right?
