Juan Hernangomez Blocks Warriors at the Buzzer to Seal Nuggets Win

Watch out for the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference. The young squad is 3-0 and pulled out another statement win last night against the Golden State Warriors.

The game came down to the wire and surprisingly, saw the Dubs come from behind in the fourth quarter. They’re no strangers to a comeback, especially with that much firepower, but it’s strange they’d be trailing a team like the Nuggets so early in the season.

Either way, the game was in Steph Curry‘s hands during the closing seconds, going coast to coast with the basketball to win the game.

Instead of taking the last shot, instead, he decided to pass to Damian Jones under the hoop, who was quickly swarmed by the Denver defense and Juan Hernangomez blocked him at the buzzer to win the game.

Golden State had one timeout remaining at that point and could have set up a play to tie or win, but Curry took it upon himself to make it happen.

Curry finished with a game-high 30 points and Kevin Durant contributed with 20 points, but besides them, there wasn’t much scoring from anyone else.

On the other side of the ball, Gary Harris had 28 points for the Nuggets, while Nikola Jokic scored 23 and 11 rebounds in the win.
