The San Antonio Spurs have been without their star for most of the season and it looks like he’ll be missing even more time. Kawhi Leonard has officially been declared as out indefinitely by the team, thanks to a right quadriceps tendinopathy injury. He’s already missed games this season and will continue to rehabilitate as precaution.
Obviously, the Spurs are taking a more cautious approach to this injury because of his value to the team. They were already holding him to a minutes restriction across the nine games that he appeared, but it doesn’t seem like his quad has healed completely.
Leonard is also nursing a shoulder injury that has been bugging him for part of the year.
San Antonio currently sits at a record of 29-16, which is third overall in the tough Western Conference.
