Kay Felder Goes Back To Detroit and Explains How City Shaped Him

Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Kay Felder wasn’t the most talked about from this year’s draft class, but he’s looking to prove everyone wrong. The Detroit native was never recruited to elite programs out of high school because of his size, but he’s shown how much he can do at such a small stature. At Oakland University, he led the NCAA in assists and was Top 5 in the nation at scoring.

In this clip Felder heads back to his hometown, as his family explains their dynamic and how he grew up and the Cavs rookie takes the cameras to the playground where he learned how to play. He also held a camp for the kids to give back and show them what they could accomplish if they work hard. All they had to do is look at him as an example.

Kay doesn’t just intend to make it to the league (like he has), he plans to stay there.
