FAREWELL GARNETT!!

After 21 seasons in the NBA, one of the greatest players to come out of high school and go straight the pros has decided to call it quits. Kevin Garnett will no longer play another game in the league, leaving a legacy that will cement him as one of the most intense players to step on the court and one of the biggest defensive machines to wear a jersey.

He told the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday and announced the news on Instagram, thanking his fans and the organization for supporting him and rooting for him throughout his career.

The Wolves will waive him four days before training camp, but that’s a good thing, because he will manage to still get paid the $8 million dollars he’s owed for next season. Take it as a nice parting gift as he heads into the next phase of his career.

Garnett will also go down as one of the most PAID players to grace the league, collecting a total of $330 million in his career, the most in the history of the NBA.

He led the Boston Celtics to a championship in 2008 and also had stints with the Brooklyn Nets along the way. But what better way to retire than with the team that drafted him.
