After a storied career that is sure to see Kevin Garnett in the Hall of Fame, The Big Ticket has now officially ridden out into the sunset. From high school to the NBA, the beginning of “super teams” and an NBA Championship later, 21 years in the league will leave you with plenty of stories and memories.
He shared some of those with Coach Kevin McHale in an interview with NBA TV, where he spoke on everything from how he found a love for basketball, playing in high school and being able to handle the ball (as opposed to playing a conventional big), coming into the league with high energy, winning a title with the Boston Celtics, the hardest game he ever played in and more.
He also talks about life after the game and what it felt like to get that first big time check from the NBA.
