Klay Thompson Blacks Out and Drops 60 Points On the Pacers

With all the talk surrounding Kevin Durant and Steph Curry this season, Klay Thompson has been put on the back burner. Earlier this season, it was even speculated that he could be traded, even though most of us would be shocked if the Golden State Warriors pulled the trigger.

Tonight, the other Splash Brother officially blew out the gates of any comments saying he’s in a slump or isn’t the same player that we saw last season.

Three-pointers, layups, transition buckets, slashes to the hoop, mid-range jumpers, catch-and-shoot’s.. the boy was doing it all tonight against the Indiana Pacers. He finished with 17 points in the first quarter. By the time the second quarter hit, it was lights out. He scored 40 points by halftime and the Warriors bench was losing it. They just kept feeding him and feeding him.

The third quarter was much of the same and if it wasn’t for the fact Coach Steve Kerr took him out of the game (he only played 29 minutes), he could have scored goddamn 100 points.

KOOL IT DOWN KLAY!

The crazy part is both times he got career-high’s in points, he didn’t play int he fourth quarter. Imagine if Thompson actually played all the way to the end? Especially on a night like this? He would completely OD out there. Maybe one of these days gets the chance.

It doesn’t even matter what anyone else did because tonight at Oracle Arena belonged to Klay.
