Kobe Bryant Talks New Age Free Agency, NBA GOAT Debate, Pressures of the League

Kobe Bryant is currently promoting his new book The Wizenard Series: Training Camp and he recently sat down with Mike Greenberg for ESPN’s Get Up to talk about what’s going on with his life right now and the current NBA landscape.

To start off, he asked about the new stars of the league looking disgruntled and what they have to deal with in today’s age compared to when he was playing. He also had advice for Zion Williamson and the star power he has caught coming out of Duke as the NBA Draft nears.

The Black Mamba touched on on whether his Los Angeles Lakers teams would beat today’s Golden State Warriors (of course he said his team would win) as well and what advice he would have for Magic Johnson and LeBron James after this disappointing season. In the debate of GOATs and comparisons, Bryant does not care about any of that talk anymore.

Lastly, he speaks on free agency moves compared to his era and a conversation he had with Dirk Nowitzki about leaving. Obviously the two were “lifers” for their respective teams.
