Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward Talk Re-Joining Celtics, Injuries & Future

With DeMarcus Cousins joining the Golden State Warriors, people have already crowned them NBA champions for the next season, but there’s a team out in the Eastern Conference that thinks they have enough firepower to beat them.

The Boston Celtics are getting Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back from injury to start the season and the potential for this team has yet to be seen.

One thing is for sure, they’re deep.

Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier, Marcus Morris PLUS Hayward and Irving? That’s a scary roster if they’re all playing A-game.

In a talk with The Jump’s Rachel Nichols, Kyrie and Gordon spoke on some of those dark injury days where you’re rehabbing back to health, how much talent the team they have on the squad, expectations for next season and how everything will go good as long as they keep all problems in-house.

Irving even went as far as to say (but not 100% confirm) that the future is very great in Boston. According to him, if he left, people would question that decision because he’s not going to find a more storied franchise, incredible coach and deep team like he has in the Celtics already.
